The spokesperson of PML-N Punjab expressed concern over the increasing incidents of harassment of women and demanded the resignation of the Punjab Chief Minister.
According to details, PML-N Punjab spokesperson Uzma Bukhari while expressing concern over the increasing incidents of harassment and molestation of women in Lahore said that the Chief Minister and Punjab Law Minister are responsible for the progressively worse situation, Usman Buzdar, Raja Basharat should resign immediately.
Uzma Bukhari said that women are feeling insecure due to increasing incidents of harassment. The purpose of such incidents is a conspiracy to restrict Women to their homes.
The PML-N spokesperson further said that the footage of ridiculous behaviour has raised questions on the performance of the police, several cameras in Safe City have been out of order for a long time while cameras in several important places in Lahore have malfunctioned for several months.
After the video of the Minar e Pakistan incident in which a female Tiktoker was being molested and assaulted by crowds of men on August 14 in Lahore went viral, the video has left viewers shocked and evoking sharp denunciation from social media users.
After the video went viral on social media, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar took notice of the incident and ordered a report from the CCPO.
A case has been registered by the police against hundreds of unknown persons for attacking a female TikToker and her friends at the Greater Iqbal Park – Minar e Pakistan on Independence Day.

A case was also registered against 10 to 12 motorcyclists at Lari Ada police station. The identification of the harassers is underway and Police have obtained a record of safe city cameras installed in the vicinity of the park.
