Let’s talk about another series today which is also a Netflix original series called “Peaky Blinders”.
If you haven’t watched the show I am sure you have heard of it. Everywhere around the world, you might know someone obsessing over this particular series, well i am one of them! Who wouldn’t love Mr.Thomas Shelby!
It’s a story of a crime based organization operated by the Shelby family, which was established in the late 1890s in Birmingham, England.
The Shelby family includes 4 brothers; Arthur Shelby, Thomas Shelby, John Shelby, and Finn Shelby, 1 sister; Ada Shelby and their aunt named Polly Gray who happens to have a long lost son Micheal Gray.
Peaky Blinder consist of 5 seasons up till now, which means the sixth season is in the making. Thomas Shelby is the one leading this organization even though he is not the eldest one but he definitely is the most intelligent and a lot more “Let me think this through and solve the issue” kind of person.
About this Show:
The part which I really appreciate in this show is that no season consists of more than 6 episodes.
The first season of Peaky Blinders was introductory of how this organization operates and how they dealt with the problem arrived when the Chester Campbell (A civil servant) arrived in the area to get them busted.
All 5 seasons had different storylines with many more new characters playing important roles, all 5 seasons are interconnected to one another.
Thomas Shelby met a girl who he fell in love with, she was a spy in the first season “Grace Burgess” working for Chester Campbell. They got married later in the show and had a son. Grace Burgress was later killed by one of Thomas’s enemies.
John Shelby was also killed in the later season.
After the murder of his wife Thomas Shelby later married his secretary Lizzie Starke. They had a daughter together.
By the end of season 4, Thomas Shelby always aiming for greater and more, stepped up his game by joining the politics and becoming the Minister. All bad things have gone good no? That’s how clever Mr.Shelby is!
When John Shelby died, Finn Shelby who is the youngest of them all, joined the team but it was always made sure that he stays out of the dirty business. Classy no?
The series got a lot more excited when Tom Hardy playing Alfie Solomons entered the show, who wouldn’t love the combination of the Shelby and Solomons, you’ll know what I mean!
If anyone ever asks me to rate all the shows I have ever watched. Peaky blinders always stay on top. That’s how good it is. You’ll understand once you watch it.

My Perspective:
I am a very big fan girl of this show, I actually got to learn a lot from it.
I know it sounds like all the crime drama but trusts me it’s a lot more than that. The way Thomas Shelby handles everything even after losing the love of his life as they say: “Even after all this time, our love remains” God I love how much he loved her.
If you’re dedicated to something and work your heart out for it, no one can stop you from getting it, well Thomas showed us that didn’t he?
I really admire the way how he keeps all the things to himself and the attitude oh I just love that. Well, Polly was right when she said that you got your mother’s smartness, couldn’t agree more.
From their dressing to their class, everything you would ever want in a series is there.
The Release of season 6 is postponed due to this Corona Virus pandemic but it is promised to be released as soon as possible. Can’t wait!
Right after it’s the fifth season was released I bet 90 percent of the people finished it within 2 days. Still, wondering about watching it? Don’t! just go for it!!
