The Pakistani TikTok star, Hareem Shah, has supported the Peshawar High Court’s order to ban the video-sharing service TikTok. She said that despite several warnings, many people have died for the sake of creating videos.
“Earlier, we raised our voices against the ban imposed on TikTok. However, many people have lost their lives just to create a TikTok video”.
The TikTok star said that the High Court was forced to make such a decision because people were misusing the app.
Hareem criticized the other TikTok users, saying, “When people find something new, they start misusing it instead of using it wisely.”
The Tiktoker said in a message to her fans that if the government takes a decision, it does so by keeping us [people] in mind. We should find something useful if we want to make a video.
After the announcement to ban TikTok in Peshawar, the Peshawar High Court now has ordered to ban the application across the country.
A few days ago, The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority declared directives to all service providers to block access to the TikTok app across Pakistan immediately.
In respectful compliance to the orders of the Peshawar High Court, PTA has issued directions to the service providers to immediately block access to the TikTok App. During the hearing of a case today, the PHC has ordered for the blocking of App.
