In a recent soul-wrenching child abuse case, a four-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted before being brutally killed in Khyber-Pakthunkhwa’s Kohat district.
The body of the minor was found in a drain in the Khattak Colony area, the K-P police official said on Thursday. Reportedly, the girl went missing a day earlier. A local resident of Kohat filed a first information report (FIR) in connection with the disappearance of his granddaughter, the police said.
The body was retrieved and sent to the KDA divisional headquarters hospital. Police officials said that a case has been registered in connection with the murder. In addition to this, an investigation was underway.
Meanwhile, the victim’s family and residents of the area held a protest on University Road, Kohat. They demand justice from the authorities. Moreover, the family of the four-year-old claimed she had been sexually assaulted.
On the other hand, police officials said while they suspected the minor girl was assaulted, it had not yet been confirmed through a medical report. As per the reports, the police have not yet received the medical report. The report would clarify whether the accused assaulted the minor girl or not.
Shattered by the news, Pakistanis demand justice!
The murder of the minor girl caused widespread panic in the area. Locals of the area demanded immediate arrest of the culprits behind the heinous crime.
It seems as though every new day, humanity dies a little more, or perhaps it just does not exist anymore. Despite the government’s efforts to minimize such incidents, the monstrosity persists. To our dismay, child abuse prevails in Pakistan, and the government continues to fail to prevent such crimes.
This horrific case comes months after the ghastly incident that shocked the entire nation. A group of men allegedly raped a Karachi woman and her four-year-old daughter in the Kashmore area of Sindh. The woman had traveled to the city from Karachi after the main suspect duped her on a job offer.
Yet another day, another rape case, and another cry for justice. Last year, five-year-old Marwah was kidnapped, tortured, raped, and killed and the list goes on. It is utterly disappointing to see Pakistani officials not doing enough to stem violence against kids and women.
